Overview
The KYC Operations Analyst 1 is an entry-level role focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight, and regulatory reporting, working alongside the Compliance and Control team. The main goal is to support the development and management of Citi's internal Know Your Client (KYC) program.
Responsibilities
- Work with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to prepare, develop, and approve electronic KYC records and supporting documents.
- Create and maintain KYC records using information from internal and external sources such as firm and regulatory websites.
- Collaborate with Relationship Management and Compliance to update system details from initiation to approval, and report progress to the supervisor.
- Verify KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure KYC records align with local regulatory requirements and Global Business Support Unit (BSU) Standards.
- Maintain the BSU tool.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Drive compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to policies, apply ethical judgment, and escalate or report control issues transparently.
Qualifications
- Previous relevant experience is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
