Overview

The KYC Operations Analyst 1 is an entry-level role focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight, and regulatory reporting activities, working in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The main objective is to support the development and management of a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to assist in preparing, developing, performing due diligence, and approving the electronic Know Your Client (KYC) record and supporting appendices.
  • Create and maintain KYC records by gathering information from internal and external sources, such as the firm website and regulatory websites.
  • Work with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to update system information from initiation to approval of KYC records, and report workflow progress to the supervisor.
  • Validate information in KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure KYC records incorporate local regulatory requirements and Global Business Support Unit (BSU) Standards.
  • Maintain the BSU tool.
  • Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Previous relevant experience preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
