Job Description
HSBC is hiring for the position of Software Engineer to join its Mobile Platform team under the Enabler Value Stream. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Pune, offering the opportunity to be part of a global banking and financial services leader operating in 64 countries and territories.
In this role, you will:
- Work as an Android Developer within the Mobile Platform team
- Develop core Android native features
- Collaborate with global stakeholders including engineering, QA, and delivery teams
- Contribute to mobile application enhancements, issue resolutions, and performance improvements
Required Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
- Strong understanding of OOPS concepts and design patterns
- Hands-on experience in Android app development using Kotlin
- Familiarity with JIRA for task tracking and workflow management
- Prior experience in mobile or tablet digital development projects
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and resolve defects effectively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
