Job Summary

HP is seeking a Worldwide Supply Planner to support end-to-end global supply planning across a complex, multi-region supply network. The role focuses on ensuring product availability while improving inventory efficiency, cost control, and service levels across regions, manufacturing sites, and supplier networks.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate demand signals into practical and optimized global supply plans.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain global supply plans aligned with approved demand forecasts.
  • Convert unconstrained demand into feasible supply plans by considering capacity, lead time, and material availability.
  • Ensure alignment between global planning and regional execution strategies.
  • Optimize inventory placement across regions to meet service level targets.
  • Balance safety stock, inventory investment, and risks related to aging stock.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory.
  • Detect supply constraints early and prepare mitigation strategies such as reallocation, prioritization, or capacity ramp-ups.
  • Act as a coordination point between demand planning, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and regional teams.
  • Support alignment between global and regional stakeholders.
  • Lead or assist with Supply Review discussions within S&OP or IBP processes.
  • Present supply risks, trade-offs, scenarios, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Translate executive decisions into actionable supply plans.
  • Identify potential global supply risks including supplier issues, capacity limits, logistics disruptions, or geopolitical factors.
  • Develop and evaluate what-if scenarios to aid decision making.
  • Monitor and analyze key planning metrics such as service levels, inventory turns, OTIF, and plan adherence.
  • Contribute to improvements in planning processes, tools, and data accuracy.
  • Assist in enhancing planning systems and supporting automation initiatives.
