HCLTech Hiring Senior Management Trainee (Bengaluru)

Job Summary

The PSAD – A&D team is looking for a Senior Management Trainee (Proposal Management & Presales). The ideal candidate has strong engineering and technology acumen, sharp analytical thinking, and business writing skills, and can turn engineering solutions into winning proposals. You will support the end-to-end bid lifecycle and account management activities within a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end RFP, RFI and RFQ response management for large aerospace and defense engineering pursuits, from qualification and solution structuring through submission, clarifications, orals and BAFO.
• Work with solution architects, SMEs and delivery leaders to build technically accurate, differentiated, win-themed responses across areas such as PLM, MES, mechanical and structures, embedded systems, hardware and electronics, aftermarket and MRO, digital thread and manufacturing engineering.
• Build and maintain the compliance matrix, cross-reference customer requirements, and ensure 100% traceability between RFP asks and HCLTech's response.
• Support commercial model development, with basic knowledge of pricing models such as T&M, Firm Fixed Price (FPP), outcome-based or gain-share, and catalogue pricing.
• Coordinate internal approval workflows and track legal document execution.
• Draft GTM decks, executive summaries, leadership briefing decks, capability slides, case studies and win-theme narratives tailored to A&D customers.
• Support customer visits, orals and workshops at HCLTech engineering centers in Chennai and Bengaluru with high-quality collateral and demo storyboards.
• Maintain the reusable knowledge repository of case studies and capability decks.
• Track pursuit dashboards, submission timelines, action items and follow-ups, and publish clear status updates to leadership.
• Keep up with the aerospace and defense ecosystem, including platforms, OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, analyst rankings and technology trends such as AI/ML in engineering, digital twin, model-based engineering, sustainable aviation and eVTOL/UAM, and turn these insights into pursuit strategy.
• Communicate regularly across cross-functional pursuit teams and act as the single point of coordination for RFP asks, clarifications and follow-ups.
• Plan and drive submission timelines, review cadences and post-submission follow-through across the pursuit lifecycle.

Skill Requirements

• Strong engineering and technology acumen, with the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts across mechanical, electrical, electronics, embedded, software and digital engineering.
• Excellent business writing skills, including crisp, error-free executive summaries, compliance responses and customer-facing narratives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel, including formulas, pivots and financial modeling.
