About the Role
HARMAN is seeking highly motivated CA Industrial Trainees to join the Finance, Record to Report (R2R) team in Bangalore. The role provides hands-on exposure to global accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance processes across international business operations.
This position is suitable for CA students pursuing mandatory industrial training and looking to strengthen their foundation in corporate finance, accounting operations, and stakeholder management.
What You Will Do
- Work with global teams across different HARMAN business units.
- Perform daily activities based on written procedures and guidance from managers or senior team members.
- Collaborate with the general ledger accounting team and provide backup support for assigned team members.
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, provisions, reserves, recharges, and reclassifications during month-end closing.
- Reconcile key GL accounts and ensure balance sheet accuracy.
- Maintain GL accounts, cost centers, and WBS elements in SAP where required.
- Support financial reporting in HARMAN consolidation systems.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts using standard templates and provide aging analysis.
- Track open items, define action plans, and follow up for timely resolution.
- Review and update control documents periodically while ensuring compliance adherence.
Required Qualifications
- CA finalists pursuing one year of industrial training.
- Strong accounting knowledge with understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Knowledge of chart of accounts and cost objects.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
