Job Summary
GE Vernova is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, deliver, and maintain software applications and services across machine, cloud, platform, and application domains. The role covers the full software lifecycle, including requirement analysis, documentation, development, and implementation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, and other software developers to build scalable solutions
- Apply SDLC principles and methodologies such as Agile/Lean/XP, CI/CD, refactoring, and testing techniques
- Write clean, efficient code meeting project standards and functionality goals
- Develop features such as web services and queries on existing tables
- Assess application performance and optimize where necessary
- Work with core data structures and algorithms
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines.
Required Technical Skills
C++, C#, MS SQL Server, relational database design, SQL, JavaScript, HTML5, TypeScript, CSS, AngularJS, Maven, Git, Jenkins, MS Visual Studio, MS Visual Studio Code, Windows application development, Agile/Lean/XP, CI/CD.
Preferred (Optional) Technical Skills
Python, Java, Linux development, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, BackboneJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS, Gradle, SVN, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring Data, Eclipse IDE.
