
Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru serves as GE Aerospace’s multidisciplinary research and engineering hub. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to numerous aviation patents and breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
GE Aerospace is seeking a software engineering intern with a computer science background and familiarity with Java, JavaScript, and web development. The intern will support software design and development activities within ongoing projects.
Responsibilities include assisting with building, testing, and maintaining web applications. The role also involves working with cross functional teams to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and debug applications.
Candidates should have a basic understanding of both front end and back end development concepts, strong problem solving ability, and willingness to learn in a fast paced environment. The internship provides hands on exposure to real software projects and modern development practices.
Basic familiarity with AI or ML concepts, or exposure to Generative AI tools, prompt engineering, or integrating AI powered APIs into web applications is considered beneficial.
