The Digital Technology Leadership Program (DTLP) is a rotational digital leadership initiative designed to develop early career talent with a strong interest in technology. The program accelerates professional growth through intensive technical learning and a variety of business critical assignments across GE Aerospace.
Participants gain hands-on experience by contributing to real projects while building technical expertise, professional capabilities, and leadership skills aligned with GE values.
Site Overview
Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru serves as GE's multidisciplinary research and engineering hub. Engineers and scientists at the center have contributed to numerous aviation patents and innovations in engine technology, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Program Overview
The DTLP program is intended for candidates ready to contribute to innovation and help shape future technology outcomes. Participants work on complex projects and gain practical experience while collaborating with global teams and leaders.

Essential Responsibilities
Participants will complete a two year full time program consisting of four rotational assignments of six months each. These assignments span multiple digital technology areas across GE Aerospace.
- Work on projects in Product Management, Project Management, Data Analytics, Data Science, Enterprise Applications, IT Operations, and Software Development.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals across GE Aerospace business units and locations.
- Deliver outcomes for cross functional and mission driven digital initiatives.
- Follow individualized training plans in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity and risk, data science, machine learning, Agile, and Scrum, with opportunities to pursue certifications.
- Participate in structured career development programs including coaching and mentoring.
- Engage with global business leaders and participate in classroom and virtual training focused on technical and business skills.
- Support program committees such as recruitment, finance, and professional development to drive cross functional collaboration.
- Potential opportunities for international exposure or assignments.
Required Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech demonstrating knowledge of software applications or programming languages (for internal candidates).
- Full time M.Tech in Computer Science, Data Science, or Data Analytics from a recognized institution for external candidates.
- 0 to 36 months of IT experience for external applicants.
- Willingness to relocate or move geographically based on business needs.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
