Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru serves as a multidisciplinary research and engineering hub for GE Aerospace. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to numerous aviation patents and have driven innovations in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work as part of a development team focused on Data Science technologies including statistics, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI.
- Collaborate closely with an assigned mentor on project tasks, including analysis, design, testing, and integration of components that align with business standards and product requirements.
- Document technical information generated during project work in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present technical findings, clearly communicating the results and documentation created during the project.

This internship is designed for students interested in exploring data science projects and contributing to digital solutions for identified technical challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Students pursuing B.Tech (3rd or 4th year) or M.Tech (1st or 2nd year) from recognized institutes.
- Applicants should be from Computer Science or IT streams, preferably with a specialization in Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
- Minimum academic performance of 7 CGPA or 70% with no active backlogs.
- A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the college must be provided before the offer is issued.

- Interest in emerging technologies and awareness of current industry tools and software trends.
- Strong foundation in Python programming and machine learning concepts.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
- Quick learner who is adaptable, collaborative, and eager to contribute.
