Job Description
The FX Exposure Identification CoE is part of the Middle Office Controllership team within Global Treasury Controllership Organization. It is responsible for exposure identification and analysis related to transactions arising from foreign currency transactions and equity translation exposure from the company's foreign subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify the foreign currency underlying exposure from Ledger transactions and support GTO in appropriately hedging FX exposures.
- Prepare month-end FX exposure adequacy packages for multiple markets to ensure adequate FX hedging across the organization.
- Account for and report FX trades used to hedge foreign exchange exposure from cross-currency transactions within the company and its subsidiaries.
- Lead and provide advisory support on companywide initiatives related to FX accounting.
- Support ongoing projects within the team.
- Maintain accounting controls to ensure compliance with SOX, Bank Holding Company regulations, and internal guidelines.
- Lead and participate in projects related to Treasury and business partner driven initiatives by providing appropriate FX advisories.
- Identify simplification and automation opportunities and work towards implementing them.
- Analyze drivers that impact the P&L due to FX and implement controls to mitigate the FX impact.
Qualifications
Technical Skills/Capabilities: Strong accounting skills including technical areas of ASC 830 (FAS 52) related to currency remeasurement and translation, and ASC 815 (FAS 133) related to FX hedge accounting, analysis, and reporting.
Functional Skills/Capabilities:
- Ability to lead multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to challenge status quo and effectively communicate to leadership, auditors, and regulators.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to connect business drivers.
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to influence without direct control.
- A fast and keen learner with the ability to learn a detailed process quickly and have excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of Platforms:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Sound knowledge of Oracle accounting and reporting tools, AI/Gen AI tools, and knowledge of accounting analysis and reporting will be a plus.
