Team
The team consists of industry specialists who collaborate closely and provide guidance while you build practical finance and analytics skills. You will gain exposure to the SPDJI index business and the ETF market while supporting ongoing financial analysis and reporting work.
Position Overview
The role is suited for a motivated and detail focused apprentice supporting the SPDJI Commercial Finance team. Responsibilities include assisting with ETF flows analysis, competitive tagging, monthly close activities, analytics support, and report validation as part of enterprise initiatives. The position also involves working on ad hoc requests and collaborating with stakeholders across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the SPDJI Index business and understand ETF market dynamics
- Support tagging of newly launched ETFs into competitive categories to strengthen internal market research and strategy
- Assist with monthly close tasks, including basic financial reconciliations under the guidance of financial analysts
- Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from stakeholders
- Work with team members to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
- Help use and support development of financial tools and dashboards
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to financial operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges
- Ability to work collaboratively with strong accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to data cleaning, data mining, or analytics related work
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Alteryx, Tableau, or Anaplan
