About the Role

S&P Global Market Intelligence is looking for an Associate, DMS Technical Support to join the Data Management Solutions Technical Support team in Gurgaon. The team works with Datafeed Application Specialists (DAS) and Sales Teams to give clients technical help with deploying and troubleshooting the "Data Management Solutions (DMS)" and with reviewing the technical environment at client sites that may affect product performance.

As an Associate, you link end users with our DMS products. Combining product expertise with a clear understanding of our clients and how they use our tools, you will act as a consultant who helps clients reach quality results in the most efficient way.

Responsibilities

• Act as the product specialist for DMS and give in-depth technical assistance to clients.
• Help with deployment and troubleshooting as issues arise.
• Build in-depth product knowledge from both content and delivery standpoints, and support pre- and post-sales opportunities.
• Bring new ideas for innovation and automation into the support process, and build projects that help replicate and resolve client issues.
• Write complex SQL queries (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.) to use our data, and help clients with query tuning and performance improvements.
• Research the rapidly evolving product offerings.
• Assess the technical environment at client sites that may affect product performance.
• Take part in testing and user-acceptance tests of new implementations.
• Maintain the local infrastructure, including database servers (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL) and virtual machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Graduate in Computer Science with 0 to 1 year of experience.
• Strong basics across Computer Science, including development, database concepts and networking.
• Solid English verbal and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of .Net, C# or Java.
• Knowledge of web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, etc.), HTTP messages, network and security protocols (WebSockets, TCP/IP, SSL, TLS), proxy protocols and web transport schemes (SOAP, XML, JSON).
• Knowledge of web development (JavaScript, Java, Python, CSS, PHP, Ruby, .Net, etc.) and web services/architecture (SOA, REST, WSDL, WADL, etc.).
• Exposure to Windows, UNIX or Linux environments and knowledge of RDBMS concepts.
• Quick learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and keep pace with rapid product changes.
• Troubleshooting, follow-through, problem solving, resourcefulness, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Willing to work 5-day shifts and longer night shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate in Computer Science and Commerce or Finance is preferred.
• Prior experience in client support teams.
