What you'll do

This role focuses on MBD analysis of Bussmann electrical products to predict structural performance. You will partner with teams in India, Europe, the US and China to understand design intent, then develop and validate analysis models that support various engineering designs. You should become familiar with the different products in the electrical portfolio and keep coordination and communication with all stakeholders strong by following project management best practices.

The position handles medium complexity work in MBD (multi body dynamics) and static structural analysis. You will take requirements on independently and deliver quality results within set timelines. A strong background in solid mechanics and theory of machines, along with a solid grasp of structural analysis fundamentals, is expected. You should also look for chances to check your analytical predictions against physical testing so the DP capabilities keep maturing.

Technology responsibilities

• Help mature identified technical capabilities in the structural domain from the ES Americas portfolio.
• Work closely with product and analysis experts to develop and validate digital prototypes that mimic product physics and predict key CTQs.

Program responsibilities

• Drive Analysis First deployment on low and medium complexity electrical components and assemblies.
• Flag technical and schedule risks on assigned low and medium complexity programs and work to mitigate them.
• Work with SMEs to support simulation requests and manage workload.

Extended responsibilities

• Take part in ES Americas level initiatives and add solid value.
• Learn DFSS fundamentals and apply them on programs.
• Embrace continuous improvement and show steady growth in the value delivered by project outputs.
• Create valuable IP that expands the innovation envelope for organizational growth.
• Explore emerging AI and machine learning trends for use in structural simulation.
