Eaton is Hiring Engineer - Reliability & Safety in Pune

Eaton India Innovation Center's Electrical Risk Management Center of Excellence is looking for an Engineer - Reliability to join its team in Magarpatta City, Pune. Eaton treats safety, health, wellness, inclusion and diversity as core parts of its values and vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver DFR work packages across multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Engineering (SE) projects for electrical product lines, with high quality and on schedule.
• Identify and mitigate reliability risks, and follow the reliability sign-off process for NPIs under guidance.
• Analyze warranty data, forecast failures, publish monthly warranty reports, and drive problem solving for the top warranty issues.
• Carry out hardware functional safety assessments in line with UL991 and IEC61508.
• Create or revise DFR deliverables such as reliability goal setting, reliability predictions, FMEA, accelerated life tests, Reliability Demonstration Tests (RDT), reliability growth analysis and FRACAS for NPIs, VAVE projects and existing product improvements.
• Create or revise functional safety deliverables such as FMEA and FTA.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design reliability into NPI programs, existing product improvements and VAVE projects, and manage and mitigate reliability risks under senior supervision.
• Plan project milestones, execute them, conduct deliverable reviews, communicate with stakeholders, and develop skills through technical mentoring.

Skills and Preferences

• Skilled in reliability statistics, FMEA, FTA, 8D, FRACAS, life modelling, and turning field and warranty data into life and failure rate information.
• Experience with industry-proven reliability analysis tools such as Minitab or ReliaSoft is preferred.
• Work experience in Design for Reliability is desired.
• DFSS Green Belt certification from a reputed organization is preferred.
