Eaton Hiring Associate Engineer Flow & Thermal (Pune) | Freshers Eligible

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform flow and thermal analysis of Bussmann CCPs, fuses and allied electrical products to predict thermal performance. You will partner with teams in India, Europe, the US and China, understand specific design intent, and develop and validate analysis models that support various engineering designs. You should become familiar with the different products in the electrical portfolio and coordinate with all stakeholders using project management best practices.

The role handles medium complexity work in conjugate heat transfer, flow estimation and electronics cooling. You will be expected to handle requirements independently and deliver quality results within set timelines. A strong background in heat transfer and fluid mechanics, along with a solid understanding of CFD fundamentals and 1D models, is needed. You should also look for chances to validate your analytical predictions through physical testing.

Technology Responsibilities

• Help mature identified technical capabilities in the flow and thermal domain from the ES Americas portfolio.
• Work closely with product and analysis experts to develop and validate digital prototypes that mimic product physics and predict key CTQs.

Program Responsibilities

• Ensure Analysis First deployment on low and medium complexity electrical components and assemblies.
• Identify technical and schedule risks on assigned programs and work to mitigate them.
• Work with SMEs to support simulation requests and manage workload.

Extended Responsibilities

• Take part in ES Americas level initiatives and add solid value.
• Learn DFSS fundamentals and apply them on programs.
• Drive continuous improvement and show consistent increases in value from project deliverables.
• Create valuable IP that supports organizational growth.
• Explore emerging AI and machine learning trends for thermal simulation applications.
