What you'll do

The Electrical Risk Management Center of Excellence at Eaton India Innovation Center is looking for an Associate Engineer - Reliability to join the team. The role is based at the office in Magarpatta City, Pune.

Core responsibilities:

• Develop, publish and maintain warranty analytics dashboards for Electrical Sector product lines.
• Work with internal customers (quality, field sales/marketing, product engineering, warranty operations, field service/call center, finance) to deliver these dashboards.
• Spot emerging trends in the dashboards, carry out deep-dive analyses and propose product-improvement projects.
• Drive PPIT/CAR and problem-solving projects for the top warranty issues.
• Bring a digital mindset and keep improving the dashboards for speed, accuracy and efficiency using emerging AI/ML technologies.
• Understand electrical product families, functions and physics-of-failure modes for failure-mode classification.
• Act as subject matter expert for warranty claims and sales data across multiple warranty and sales-information databases.
• Act as subject matter expert for product reliability reporting, publishing warranty dashboards including Top N, Accruals, PPM & CPU and PPIT/CAR ranking.
• Lead the Electrical business in improving product reliability and reducing warranty cost through periodic PPIT/CAR meetings.

Skills and preferences

• Field data analysis, data analytics and warranty process understanding (desired).
• Continuous improvement mindset and process deployment.
• Basic understanding of field failure resolution and customer interfacing.
• Relevant experience with electrical products; knowledge of electrical/electronics components such as UPS and switchgear is desired.
• Experience with warranty analysis tools such as PowerBI, Minitab, Reliasoft, 8D methodology; R or Python preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies for large datasets (preferred).
• Process management, deep-dive problem solving, data-driven decision making, drive for results and interpersonal skills.
