Job Title: Payments Processing Analyst, NCT
Location: Bangalore, India
Role Description
- This role operates in the US shift (night shift). The analyst manages end to end processing of static data requests including account opening, closure, and maintenance updates across downstream applications while ensuring adherence to service level agreements and industry standards.
- Validate and authenticate incoming instructions by following established procedures. Process static data requests in downstream systems as per defined guidelines and ensure accurate setup of all data records.
- Work with wire transfers and reconciliations in live market environments, handling time critical and complex transactions for the bank's internal and external clients. Address client queries promptly.
- Coordinate with Customer Service Officers and maintain strong communication while managing client interactions and handling escalations.
- Follow procedures carefully to minimize processing risks and identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client workflows.
- Suggest ideas that enhance operational efficiency and participate in initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and processes.

Your Key Responsibilities
Processing Standards
- Process transactions while adhering to defined procedures and cut off timelines.
- Support day to day operational activities and coordinate with the sending location when clarifications are required.
- Communicate process related clarifications to the team and document process issues for escalation to the manager.
- Perform end of day activities as per checklists and maintain the necessary records.
- Ensure all self assessment reports and supporting documentation are reviewed and signed as required.
- Maintain records of procedural updates and communicate changes to the manager.
- Support training for new team members as per the training module.
- Ensure appropriate backups are created within the department.
Escalation
- Escalate issues to supervisors and managers following the defined escalation process.
- Inform the Team Manager of exceptional situations to enable timely action.
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Report any process related ambiguity to supervisors or managers for clarification.
Compliance
- Communicate potential business opportunities identified during regular transactions and assist management in business development initiatives.
Business Opportunities
- Achieve defined job objectives within agreed timelines.
- Contribute to innovation and suggest ideas that improve service quality.
- Conduct monthly departmental self assessments using defined checklists.
- Ensure control lapses are identified with proper evidence and recommended actions.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure updates or amendments to process documentation are completed within defined timelines.
- Assist in training new team members and conduct tests or quizzes for trainees.
- Maintain training documentation and records.
- Support the manager in preparing team related MIS reports.
Your Skills and Experience
- Understanding of payment processing flows
- Knowledge of static data processes
- Experience working with SWIFT messaging
- Familiarity with risk and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of payments and back office operations
- Minimum graduation in any discipline
