Role Description

The Liquid Asset Finance (LAF) Trading team provides collateralized liquidity solutions to a range of counterparties including hedge funds, real and smart money investors, private equity funds, banks, and credit managers. Collateral typically includes asset backed securities and portfolios, structured products, loans, covered bonds, and other liquid assets such as corporate or government bonds and SSAs. Transactions may be structured bilaterally or through triparty arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor an existing portfolio of transactions involving collateralized lending and borrowing across tenors ranging from open to five to ten years.
• Track risk exposures over time and support reporting activities, including generating trade ideas based on metrics such as IR01, FX, and CS01.
• Assist with complex transactions and participate in the approval process alongside senior traders, working closely with structuring and legal teams.
• Coordinate regularly with internal groups including settlement, operations, credit risk management, and market risk management.
• Provide management information reports and escalate material issues to team leads when required.
• Support the ongoing improvement of infrastructure and processes to enable efficient front‑to‑back operations.

Skills and Experience

• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of short‑term interest rate markets, with the ability to deepen expertise on the desk.
• Understanding of financial instruments such as bonds, loans, and swaps.
• Exposure to ABS or CLO products is considered an advantage.
• Curiosity about financial markets and willingness to learn.
