Role Description

Operations teams provide support for all Deutsche Bank's businesses, enabling them to deliver transactions and manage clients. Our people work in major global financial centres, as well as specialist development and service centres in various locations. We process payments in excess of a trillion euros across the bank's platforms, support thousands of trading desks, and enable millions of banking transactions, share trades, and emails every day.

Your key responsibilities

While each role will carry its specific nuances, the following processes/functions are being sought during this hiring drive:

  • Payments: As a team member, you will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of all types of payments, including physical cash/valuables, and handling cash-related investigations. This includes processing time-critical, complex transactions on behalf of internal and external clients.
  • Reconciliation Production Operator: You will develop operating level agreements aligned with overall business service level agreements. Tasks include executing/booking prime brokerage equity cash payments, inventory management, reconciliation of Nostro breaks, and risk reporting.
  • Settlement: Perform pre- and post-settlement tasks under Derivative Settlements (across asset classes). Ensure all assigned tasks are done accurately and exceptions are followed up to resolution. Also participate in projects, group initiatives, UAT tests, and training.
  • Collateral Management Operator: Be part of a team responsible for day-to-day collateral reconciliation and dispute resolution. Work with colleagues globally to ensure the firm's exposure to clients and counterparties is properly monitored daily.
  • Treasury: Understand the trade life cycle and manage work from trade capture to settlements. Carry out daily tasks effectively and accurately, as incorrect processing exposes the bank to financial and regulatory risks. Responsible for regulatory reporting as required.
  • Trade Finance: Handle processing of collections and letters of credit as part of the trade operations team to meet agreed customer service level agreements and review outstanding transactions.
  • Client Lifecycle: Onboarding and offboarding clients, ensuring know your customer requirements are met, and conducting periodic reviews based on risk and value.
  • Messaging & Embargo Filtering: Review, confirm, and decide on stopped transaction messages to confirm mismatches for release from the transaction filtering process in line with applicable sanctions regulations and bank policies.
  • Operational Reference Data Services (ORDS): Provide operational services across Global Markets and Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) clients globally, ensuring client business, regulatory and tax compliance, protecting against client lifecycle risk, and driving up data standards. Focus on driving compliance within operations, impacting onboarding, KYC, maintenance of client accounts, and downstream operations.

Your skills and experience

  • Ensure processes are performed as per defined Key Operating Procedures
  • Escalate unusual activity (e.g., high value payments or breaks)
  • Be aware of risks attached to processes and escalate potential risks to supervisors
  • Contribute to intra- and end-of-day monitoring of process checkpoints and investigate/guide on issues
  • Establish good understanding of connectivity from a process and system perspective
  • Communicate with stakeholders to share process updates or escalate issues
  • Identify and use Key Risk Indicators and coordinate appropriate management reporting
  • Research, recommend, and implement process improvements where appropriate
  • Stay updated with market practice developments, errors, or inefficient/volume-sensitive processes
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Education/Qualification

2027 Graduates - B.Com / BBA with 7 CGPA and above in graduation (till date) with no active backlogs.
