Job Title: Apprentice Hiring for 2026-2027
This 12-month apprenticeship under India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme offers hands-on training and practical exposure. Completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with Deutsche Bank Group.
Role Description
Operational Risk Management (ORM), part of the Chief Risk Office (CRO), functions as an independent second line of defence. The team works closely with business and infrastructure functions to manage operational and reputational risks within the bank’s risk appetite and strengthen the overall control environment.
ORM is responsible for defining frameworks related to identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring, reporting, and escalating non-financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of Operational Risk Management principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Gain knowledge of core risk management concepts, including risk lifecycle and mitigation approaches.
- Understand different categories of risks within Operational Risk Management.
- Support risk identification and monitoring activities, including data gathering and analysis.
- Adapt and contribute effectively in a fast-moving risk environment.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent certification in banking, finance, economics, or business administration.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of MS Access and Visual Basic is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of root cause analysis.
- Ability to work independently as well as within international teams.
- Understanding of regulatory and audit-focused work environments.
- Awareness of industry standards, risk management practices, and legal or regulatory developments.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and workflows while applying sound judgment to data and AI-generated outputs is valued.
