Job Description

This 12 month apprenticeship under India’s National Apprenticeship Training Scheme provides practical on the job training. Completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with Deutsche Bank Group.

Role Overview

Transaction Monitoring (TM) is a key part of Deutsche Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) framework. The bank monitors financial transactions using a risk based approach to detect unusual or suspicious activity and prevent misuse of accounts for money laundering or terrorist financing.

The selected apprentice will review APAC TM alerts, identify potential ML or TF warning signs, assess associated risks, and either close alerts or escalate cases that require further investigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review alerts according to defined KOD guidelines and maintain high standards for timelines, quality assurance, and productivity.
  • Identify and close false alerts and false positive cases.
  • Escalate alerts that cannot be confirmed as non suspicious to the AML Investigation team.
  • Assist with tasks or projects assigned by the Team Lead.
  • Respond promptly to QA team queries related to alerts and complete remediation of QA observations.
  • Support the team lead with MI preparation, UAT testing, or related process activities.
  • Evaluate alert handling workflows and help identify opportunities for process automation or robotics improvements.
