Position Summary
Deloitte Digital operates as a creative digital consultancy that combines design, strategy, and engineering capabilities to build modern digital experiences. The team works with creative and technical specialists to develop scalable, visually engaging solutions for global clients.
Engineers collaborate across disciplines to deliver web platforms, user experiences, and digital products. Projects range from CRM tools to large transactional websites, providing exposure to varied technical challenges and modern development approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate design assets such as wireframes, mockups, and requirements into functional engineering code.
- Build rich user interfaces and responsive websites that perform consistently across devices.
- Work with component-based architecture using frameworks such as Angular, Ember, React, or Vue.
- Use templating engines and scaffolding tools to accelerate development and improve team productivity.
- Develop web applications and understand the full application architecture from client to server.
- Apply test-driven development practices, including writing unit and end-to-end tests.
- Create APIs using server-side technologies and integrate web services using AJAX and REST concepts.
- Work with Node ecosystem tools and understand both NoSQL and relational database systems.
- Modify server configurations when required and understand HTTP request flows between browser and server.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate different tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Apply design thinking principles to explore and develop user-focused digital solutions.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure when needed.
Technical Requirements
- Strong front-end development skills including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with responsive web development and CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS.
- Knowledge of object-oriented JavaScript and common JavaScript design patterns.
- Experience with ES6 features and tools such as Babel transpiler.
- Hands-on experience with MVC or MV* frameworks like Angular, Ember, React, or Vue.
- Version control experience using tools such as Git.
- Understanding of code quality and analysis tools such as Lint or SonarQube.
- Familiarity with Node.js concepts and database systems such as MongoDB.
