Overview
Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for providing management with analysis and insights into Citi’s financial results, in coordination with the broader Finance team. The primary objective is to leverage specialized knowledge to create reports and analyses that evaluate Citi’s alignment with forecasted performance.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the estimation of risk capital and integrate results into management reports and decision processes.
- Assist with the analysis of Citi’s and its competitors’ financial performance.
- Support annual planning and periodic forecasting processes, reviewing results against plans monthly; participate in the annual budget and monthly estimate process.
- Utilize metrics to aid in the evaluation of proposed business decisions.
- Analyze key management review presentations for individual Regions and Products.
- Participate in time-critical activities for client-facing Financial Planning and Analysis Teams.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This involves driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience in accounting and/or finance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial, analytical, and reporting tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Master’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
