Overview
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The primary objective is to support the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities
- Process securities transactions, provide analytical input for traders, and assist with the review of derivative products.
- Identify and resolve settlement issues related to securities and derivatives, and recommend improvements to operational processes.
- Analyze moderately complex reports to support management requirements, assist with control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services.
- Monitor operational errors and suggest solutions to reduce risk through a solid understanding of procedural requirements.
- Escalate transaction processing issues to relevant teams and collaborate on resolution.
- Design and evaluate moderately complex reports in line with standards defined by leadership.
- Support control activities and assist with the rollout of new products and services.
- Ensure all processes follow established audit and control policies.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, protect the firm's reputation, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory policies.
- Ability to manage multiple activities or projects in a high risk operational environment.
- Comfort working in a fast paced setting.
- Working knowledge of macros.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
