Overview
The Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing Analyst supports the assessment of business activities and processes to ensure they align with defined requirements and risk management standards. The role focuses on quality testing for business function controls and transformation initiatives after activities or processes are completed.
The position contributes to the development and execution of monitoring and testing for controls. This includes evaluating control design, assessing operational effectiveness of monitoring tools, and executing monitoring and testing activities to confirm that key controls effectively address defined risks.
The role reports to a Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing Manager within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) Control Monitoring & Testing. The team is responsible for objectively evaluating ICRM controls within the MCA framework.
Responsibilities
- Develop a working understanding of Citi's risk and control framework and the fundamentals of risk management.
- Assist with quality assurance, monitoring, and testing reviews.
- Support teams involved in end-to-end monitoring of controls defined in risk management policies.
- Participate in Control and Monitoring Design Assessment (CMDA) discussions and help document procedures.
- Identify monitoring gaps and recommend improvements where needed.
- Support preparation and maintenance of reports used for control tracking and analysis.
- Help identify risks across business areas and contribute to cross-functional solutions.
- Assess risk during business decisions while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards, and escalate control issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of how teams collaborate to achieve operational objectives.
- Knowledge of control development and execution processes.
- Exposure to control-related functions within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to evaluate risk and control activities through analytical assessment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
Education
Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent practical experience.
