Overview
The Business Analytics Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. It requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems used in carrying out assigned tasks, along with a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles. A good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area is expected. The role involves making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. The analyst is expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, guided by precedents. The role requires exchanging information in a concise way and being sensitive to audience diversity. There is limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of tasks and services provided, with the impact restricted to the job holder's own job.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with solutions and implementations
- Perform relatively complex and varied assignments
- Demonstrate technical and administrative expertise
- Apply specialized functional area skills and basic knowledge, including underlying professional or technical principles and standards
- Maintain basic knowledge of the organization and its policies
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
