Overview
The SES Business Risk Analyst role carries global responsibilities for a portfolio of both public and private equity financing transactions. The position provides exposure to products such as Margin Loans, Private Equity Limited Partnership (PELP) financing, Net Asset Value (NAV) financing, and Structured Prime.
The analyst primarily focuses on monitoring covenant compliance and performing trend analysis, while gaining exposure to company financial analysis. This role directly supports and reports into the SES business.
Responsibilities
- Review compliance certificates and covenants for NAV, PELP, and structured prime transactions. Analyze portfolio trends and highlight significant portfolio movements.
- Perform routine data checks and coordinate with operations teams to ensure SES data accuracy and completeness. Provide data for ad hoc requests when required.
- Run counterparty risk ratings of non credit managed issuers in internal systems such as CAT, Citi Financial, and Helios. Review memos and complete quality control checklists.
- Work with the SES team to complete quarterly and regional annual portfolio review requirements, including gathering transaction metrics and collateral issuer financial performance data and ensuring timely submission.
- Assist in monitoring trends and developments within the Margin Loan, PELP, NAV, and structured prime portfolio. Prepare portfolio reports as needed.
- Support special projects and business initiatives including portfolio reviews, policy and guideline updates, regulatory requests, and audit reviews.
Qualifications
- 0 to 1 year of experience in data management or portfolio reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate deliverables across multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to prepare presentation materials.
- Capability to work with senior team members and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
