Role Overview
The Banking Support Analyst provides operational and analytical assistance to the Banking team. The role involves supporting information gathering, analytics, and compliance related tasks to help teams make informed decisions and maintain efficient operations.
This position works closely with global Investment Banking teams and contributes to a range of transactions such as capital raises and mergers and acquisitions. The objective is to deliver broad support across multiple activities while ensuring processes follow internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist teams within the Banking division with various support activities under supervision.
- Help gather and organize documentation related to potential transactions while following established procedures.
- Support senior team members in identifying possible conflicts of interest by compiling relevant information.
- Collect market data and create basic charts or graphs for presentations.
- Contribute to competitor analysis reports prepared for internal teams.
- Maintain databases of client contacts and key information under supervision.
- Organize and distribute market research reports to members of the banking team.
- Execute assigned tasks related to deals, business development, and product or coverage initiatives.
- Collect, organize, and validate data from multiple sources while maintaining accuracy and integrity for analysis.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and marketing materials for internal use.
- Maintain and update databases related to clients, transactions, and market data.
- Support due diligence and risk assessment activities by gathering and organizing required information.
- Help with deal related operational tasks, including documentation and project timeline coordination under supervision.
- Collaborate with team members to improve data management processes and workflow efficiency.
- Perform additional operational tasks as required.
- Assess potential risks during business decisions and ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and ethical standards while safeguarding client and company interests.
Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of experience in banking, finance, or a related field.
- Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Understanding of financial markets, concepts, or banking operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
