Job Overview

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to real-world projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will have opportunities to learn from global teams, apply your technical knowledge, and develop leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as an individual contributor or within project teams on software engineering tasks

  • Learn about Cargill’s diverse businesses and digital technology initiatives

Internship Details

  • Duration: 5–6 months (Jan 2026 – June 2026)
  • Work Hours: 12 PM – 9 PM
  • Stipend: Monthly stipend provided
  • Transport: Pick-up and drop service available (within serviceable limits of Bengaluru)
  • Conversion Opportunity: High-performing interns may be offered a full-time role as Associate Software Engineer

Eligibility Criteria

  • Batch Eligible: 2026
  • Education Requirement: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, ML, Cybersecurity, or related IT disciplines.
  • Must graduate in June 2026
  • Must provide approval from the institution to complete a full-time internship from Jan–June 2026
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Bengaluru multiple days a week

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of structured programming, systems analysis, and database design
  • Knowledge of software development and business concepts
  • Initiative and resourcefulness with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a software engineering intern
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with commercial product software development
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication

Technical Skills

Java, Python, C++, SQL, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Big Data, Data Structures, Algorithms, Agile Methodologies, Git, REST APIs, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Problem Solving, Debugging
