About the Role
Citi is seeking a motivated Big Data Engineer to join its Technology team in Pune, Maharashtra. This intermediate-level Applications Development Programmer Analyst position involves designing, developing, and implementing application systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of application development procedures and related technical areas to identify and define system enhancements.
- Analyze issues, recommend improvements, and implement effective solutions.
- Leverage understanding of business processes, system workflows, and industry standards to address complex challenges.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and scripting while writing basic code aligned with design specifications.
- Evaluate options and apply past experiences to scenarios not covered by existing procedures.
- Develop a working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, standards, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while safeguarding Citi’s reputation and assets.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in programming and debugging business applications.
- Familiarity with industry practices and standards.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
