Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Support the day-to-day activities of the finance division by providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop products and services, and identify market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Perform daily profit and loss analysis for business units, identifying trends, impacts, and insights.
  • Prepare regular reports, scorecards, and presentations for senior management based on analysis.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to strengthen skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in calls and meetings with fiscal stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial models and strategies for decision-making.
  • Contribute to training and mentoring activities, including preparation of training materials and facilitation sessions.
  • Use workforce and portfolio data to derive financial insights that support strategic discussions with senior leaders.

Analyst Expectations

  • Provide specialist support and advice to meet stakeholder and customer requirements.
  • Complete assigned activities on time and maintain a high standard of delivery.
  • Take responsibility for specific processes within the team.
  • Coordinate work requirements and support collaboration with closely related teams.
  • Manage assigned workload and contribute to projects beyond the immediate team.
  • Review work within the team to ensure internal and stakeholder requirements are met.
  • Take ownership of risk management and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and codes of conduct.
  • Build an understanding of how teams contribute to wider business objectives.
  • Apply previous experience and judgement when evaluating situations not fully covered by procedures.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and address their business needs effectively.
