Purpose of the role

Gain experience in risk management skills, knowledge, and capabilities to deliver a broad range of compliance services across business functions.

Accountabilities

• Support business adherence to the Compliance risk management framework.
• Provide advisory support to colleagues on regulations related to products and services.
• Use data and analytics to proactively monitor and influence the compliance risk landscape.
• Develop insights into Compliance risk, including Laws, Rules and Regulations, Financial Crime, and Conduct.
• Assist with training business stakeholders on compliance-related matters.

Additional Responsibilities

• Understand Compliance oversight activities and identify opportunities to strengthen check and challenge processes using data insights.
• Identify and escalate potential breaches of regulatory requirements and Barclays policies, while recommending solutions.
• Participate in local and global initiatives, including technology rollouts, testing, and requirement gathering.
• Support improvements to exception reports, controls, procedures, and reporting tools.
• Help identify requirements for advanced solutions such as machine learning to improve Compliance Risk management.
• Collaborate with centralized Product teams during the product lifecycle, including testing, training, adoption, and enhancement activities.
• Identify data governance and data quality concerns and escalate them to relevant stakeholders for resolution.
