Job Description
Purpose of the role
Manage the organisation’s financial operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting.
Accountabilities
- Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements and accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
- Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, and report these risks to senior colleagues.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraudulent reporting, and ensure financial data accuracy, including regular reviews of control effectiveness.
- Develop and implement updated financial policies and procedures to maintain consistent and effective financial practices.
- Support the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, working with IT teams to integrate enterprise systems.
- Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports, and assist other departments with regulatory reporting reviews.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and examinations.

- Develop knowledge of the sub-function, products, services, and processes across the organisation.

- Make sound judgments based on factual analysis and attention to detail.
- Resolve issues using technical knowledge and established precedents.
- Communicate complex information effectively and guide team members when needed.
- Build relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the organisation.

Basic / Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant: CA, CMA, or ACCA.
- Strong academic background with a first-class bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution.
- Experience in month-end or quarter-end reporting, control environments, or finance automation is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
Desirable Skills
- Stakeholder engagement and requirement execution skills.
- Understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
