Job Description
American Express is seeking a motivated MIS Apprentice to support the AML Compliance function through reporting, analytics, and dashboard development. The role involves working on compliance reporting initiatives that help generate insights for business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc MIS reports.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and performance scorecards.
- Assist in building automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency.
- Perform data extraction, validation, and analysis using multiple data sources.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide suitable solutions.
- Participate in reporting discussions with business partners when needed.
- Ensure all deliverables are accurate, consistent, and completed on time.
- Contribute to improving reporting processes and data quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate or postgraduate degree, preferably in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL.
- Understanding of pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis methods.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to interpret data and convert findings into actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic understanding of AML Compliance, Risk, or Financial Services.
- Experience creating dashboards and visual reports.
- Ability to present insights and support stakeholder discussions.
