Job Overview
American Express is seeking a motivated MIS Apprentice to support the AML Compliance function through reporting, analytics, and dashboarding activities. The role focuses on compliance reporting and generating insights that support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc MIS reports.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and performance scorecards.
- Assist in building automated reporting solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Perform data extraction, validation, and analysis from multiple data sources.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide suitable solutions.
- Participate in reporting discussions with business partners when required.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reports.
- Support process improvement initiatives and data quality enhancement.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL.
- Experience with pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to interpret data and present meaningful insights.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of AML Compliance, Risk, or Financial Services domains.
- Experience in dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Ability to present insights and contribute to stakeholder discussions.
