Simulation Modeling Engineer

Airbus is a global leader in the aerospace sector. The Airbus Engineering Centre in Bengaluru supports both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft programs with capabilities in structural analysis, aerodynamics, avionics software, system simulation, testing, and digital mock-up.

As a Simulation Modeling Engineer, you will develop simulation models for different aircraft systems and applications to support system design, testing, and pilot training across multiple aircraft programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop behavioral and physical models for aircraft systems.
• Perform verification and validation of models and applications on target simulation platforms.
• Integrate system models with other models to represent broader aircraft behavior.
• Support enhancements and updates to models based on change requests and system modifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during system verification and validation campaigns.
• Support simulation initiatives driven by Airbus global systems teams.
• Automate analysis activities for various system models.

Allied Activities

• Initiate optimization studies and suggest innovative solutions.
• Create collaboration topics to improve processes, methods, and tools.

Education

B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, or M.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.

Required Technical Expertise

• General understanding of aircraft systems.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, system dynamics, and first principles.
• Programming knowledge in C, C++, MATLAB, or Simulink.
• Understanding of control systems and modeling techniques.
• Exposure to shell scripting and real-time or non real-time simulation tools is an advantage.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink based modeling is beneficial.
