Eligibility (GRiD 8.0)
- Students of any engineering college in India.
- Degrees: B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, M.E., M.S., PhD, and dual or integrated degrees.
- Graduation years 2027 to 2030 for bachelor's and master's students, and 2027 to 2031 for PhD and dual or integrated degrees.
- Any branch.
- Free. You register individually; you don't need a team.
Rounds
- Round 1, screening: your academic record, achievements outside class and overall profile.
- Round 2, coding test: 90 minutes, proctored and online. GRiD 7.0 had 3 questions; you move on if you clear enough test cases.
- Round 3, case-study code: solve a Flipkart business problem by building and submitting a working solution.
- Round 4, National Finals: the top 48 (16 per track in 8.0) go to Flipkart HQ in Bengaluru, form teams of 4, build a prototype in a live hackathon and present it to Flipkart leaders. Flipkart pays travel and stay.
Rounds 1 to 3 are online; use a laptop or desktop, not a phone. Outside help gets you eliminated and can bar you from future challenges.
What you can win
After Round 3, candidates who meet Flipkart's bar are shortlisted for interviews: summer internships for third-year students, and winter internships or full-time roles for final-year students. Everyone who clears Rounds 1 to 3 gets a certificate.
