About the NATS Program

This role is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), a flagship initiative of the Government of India that builds practical, trade-specific skills for Indian youth. It runs under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (amended in 1973). At Volvo Group, the program offers engineering graduates and diploma holders a structured one-year, hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunity to build industry-ready capabilities.

What you will do

• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local assembly instructions.
• Take part in line balancing studies to optimize manpower utilization and meet production targets.
• Design layouts for new variants and new parts, coordinating with the Production team.
• Define tooling, fixtures and lifting devices for a new axle variant.
• Support CAD layout preparation for axle assembly facilities.
• Take part in coordinating cross-functional activities to map project activities.
