Trucks Technology & Industrial Division
The division works closely with customers to develop practical and innovative technology solutions. Teams operate with autonomy and speed, focusing on delivering value through engineering excellence and sustainable design.
Graduate apprentices work alongside engineers to learn processes, contribute to projects, and develop technical knowledge while supporting ongoing product and engineering initiatives.
Key Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Strong fundamentals in automobile or mechanical engineering concepts, including basic aerodynamics and fluid behavior
- Familiarity with CAE tools such as Ansys, STAR CCM+, or Power Flow is considered an advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Clear communication and the ability to work effectively in teams
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist engineering teams with design and development tasks
- Help prepare and maintain CAD models, drawings, and related documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams on product and process improvement activities
- Learn and follow Volvo engineering standards and internal procedures
- Take part in technical reviews, perform data analysis, and support report creation
- Contribute to ongoing engineering and manufacturing operations as part of the training experience
Program Duration
The apprenticeship duration follows the guidelines defined under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
