Role Overview
This position supports the service desk team by handling routine technical support activities and assisting end users in restoring system functionality. The role involves troubleshooting common issues, guiding users through resolution steps, and escalating complex problems when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first line assistance to users by guiding them through steps required to restore functionality.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems using remote access tools.
- Escalate more complex incidents to second and third level resolver teams.
- Coordinate and fulfill end user service requests, including software installations and administrative access requests.
- Ensure support tickets are followed through to resolution while keeping users informed about status and progress.
- Follow service desk, desktop, peripheral connectivity, and security policies and procedures.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of the service desk knowledge base.
- Support organizational service level agreements by delivering timely resolutions.
- Assist with additional assignments or special projects when required.
Basic Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Typically less than one year of experience in a related area.
