Role Overview

This role supports the service desk by handling routine technical assistance tasks and helping users restore system functionality. The position involves guiding end users through troubleshooting steps, addressing common technical issues, and ensuring requests are resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first line user support by guiding users through steps required to restore functionality.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems using remote access tools.
• Escalate complex incidents to second and third level resolver teams when required.
• Coordinate and complete end user service requests such as software installation and administrative access requests.
• Manage service tickets through to closure while keeping users informed about progress and status.
• Follow established service desk procedures, including policies related to desktop systems, peripherals, connectivity, and security.
• Contribute to improvements in the service desk knowledge base.
• Deliver support outcomes in line with organizational service level agreements.
• Assist with additional assignments or special projects when needed.

Work Environment

The position operates within a structured service desk environment that focuses on timely resolution of user issues and adherence to defined processes. Team members collaborate with higher level technical teams to ensure effective problem resolution.
