Role Description

UKG is hiring for the position of Data Services Consultant I (SQL Developer) in our Implementation Services team under the Customer Experience division. The role is part of our growing UKG Ready product line and focuses on new customer deployments.

You will join the Data Services Consulting team, which plays a crucial role in transforming customer data from legacy systems to UKG’s platform. This is an opportunity for individuals passionate about software implementation, data handling, and client collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert data accurately from customer source systems to UKG Ready product formats.
  • Follow data extraction and manipulation standards to deliver efficient conversion solutions.
  • Analyze client data import requirements and transform them into UKG-supported formats.
  • Build and reuse data models using UKG’s licensed software tools.
  • Collaborate closely with UKG Managers for end-to-end data migration tasks.
  • Validate and clean extracted data to match target system specifications.
  • Use in-house tools, templates, and documentation for consistent and standardized data conversion.
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and responsibilities with stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on new features in data conversion tools and continuously upgrade implementation skills.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex data issues using technical know-how.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams on concurrent data conversion projects.
  • Present and clarify sensitive or complex data issues to drive team consensus and client satisfaction.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field

Qualifications

  • Experience with PL/SQL or any major data management tools.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, database principles, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling large datasets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Experience or knowledge in HCM or WFM domains such as ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft, Ramco, SAP SuccessFactors, or Workday is a plus.
