About the Role:
Uber is reimagining the way the world moves, and we are looking for a talented and innovative design intern to contribute to this vision. As a Product Design Intern, you will be working on global products under Rides, Merchants, Mobility, Customer Obsession, and Foundations. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and UX researchers to build and iterate on user-friendly and delightful experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Uber’s product teams, designers, and researchers to contribute to impactful projects
- Design prototypes and iterate on UX concepts for millions of users
- Gain experience in real-world release cycles and refine UI/UX designs
- Utilize and enhance Uber's design system to create seamless user experiences
- Present your work to the Design Team and develop strong portfolio pieces
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Design
- Graduation year: 2025 or 2026
- Intermediate English proficiency (reading and writing)
- Availability to start in July 2025 or earlier, for a 6-month internship
- Portfolio with high-quality UI/UX projects (academic work, hackathons, competitions, or publications)
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Design
Technical Skills Required: Interaction Design, Information Design, User-Centric Design, Design Thinking, Prototyping Tools, Behavioral Psychology, User Research
Bonus Points If:
- You stay updated with the latest design trends across mobile, web, and desktop
- You have expertise in motion design, UX systems, modern UI visuals, prototyping, or design engineering
- You have a track record of shipping outstanding designs and understand release cycle details
- Your portfolio demonstrates strong UI and UX skills
