Job Description

In your first year with TI, you will take part in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which offers professional and technical training and resources to help you ramp up and build long-term career success. The program also includes function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning, letting you solve problems through hands-on work from your first day. The TMG Development program is a 12-month program for new college graduates in the TMG organization.

As a Digital IC Design Engineer, you will help architect new TI products and turn customers' visions into reality. You will define, design, model and verify digital circuits that meet performance, power, cost and schedule requirements. You will also define, design, model, implement and document the world's first 64-bit DSP processor, MMU and heterogeneous multicore shared memory and cache systems, including coherent TI DSP and ARM processors. Work areas include CPU simulator development, 64-bit vector processor ISA architecture, and verification.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Partnering with business teams and system engineering to develop mutually agreeable design specifications
  • Providing high-level analysis of chip architecture trade-offs to ensure spec compliance and strong performance at a competitive cost
  • Taking part in design reviews and preparing design and product documentation
  • Supervising IC layouts to maintain a high-performance standard
  • Characterizing prototypes, developing test specifications and coordinating with test and product engineering to drive product releases
  • Driving behavioral models

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

  • Ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new systems and processes
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
