Overview
Job Description:
Tesla is seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our team focused on building internal tools that streamline and optimize the design, permitting, and installation processes for energy products and systems. This role is critical to creating a stable, scalable platform that supports Tesla Energy and Vehicle products both current and future. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to develop features that enable our teams to track, standardize, automate, and improve every step of the energy installation lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems within the team’s scope
- Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code for new features and bug fixes
- Create unit tests, integration tests, and coordinate with QA for regression testing
- Monitor live system performance, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues
- Analyze existing technical functionality and propose improvements
- Plan and prioritize features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Communicate updates on estimates, dependencies, and blockers promptly to stakeholders
- Own the development lifecycle from design to production release
- Enhance scalability, maintainability, availability, and system visibility
- Document new technologies and application functionality
Technical Skills Required: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ES6, DOM manipulation, JS object model, HTTP, REST, AJAX, JSON, SQL, RESTful API design, Angular, Vite, NPM, Yarn, GraphQL (preferred)
