Job Overview
Tesla is seeking a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our Engineering & IT team. You will contribute to the development of internal tools that streamline the design, permitting, and installation processes for Tesla's energy products and systems. The role involves creating a robust and scalable platform adaptable to current and future Tesla Energy and Vehicle products, enabling process standardization, automation, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems within the team's scope.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code to deliver new features and resolve bugs.
- Create unit and integration tests, collaborating with QA for timely regression testing.
- Monitor system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Analyze existing systems and propose technical improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business teams to plan and prioritize features.
- Communicate project changes, dependencies, and blockers to stakeholders promptly.
- Manage feature development from design through production release.
- Enhance scalability, maintainability, and availability of applications.
- Document new technologies and application functionalities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTTP, REST, AJAX, JSON.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/ES6, DOM manipulation, and JS object model.
- Solid understanding of SQL database principles and operations.
- Expertise in RESTful API design and best practices.
- Strong grasp of Angular core design principles and patterns.
- Experience with front-end tools such as Vite, NPM, Yarn.
- GraphQL experience is a plus.
