Role Overview

This is an operational role within Fibre services, responsible for driving day to day system and service engineering and operations. You will plan, design and as-built fibre assets in GIS tools, working with appropriate guidance to deliver quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support fibre planning and design
• Perform feasibility analysis
• Update GIS systems with the as-built documents received
• Coordinate with onshore field engineers and suppliers to complete assigned works on time
• Maintain SLA and 100% FTR
• Keep internal and customer data secure and error-free
• Take an active part in customer and internal meetings
• Handle customer KPIs
• Prepare reports and share them with the customer
• Schedule customer calls and present slides

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of telecom network architecture and its components, with detailed understanding of optical fibre networks and GIS tools such as AutoCAD, Small World and ArcGIS
• Detailed knowledge of fibre planning, design and as-builts, quantity surveying and supplier management. PMO skills are an added advantage.
• Good communication skills to hold conversations at different levels with onshore and offshore stakeholders
• Coordinate with field engineers to keep actions aligned with 100% SLA and quality
• Understanding of telecom industry practices and standards for fibre construction costs when building an optical network
• Ability to define, evaluate, solve and present alternatives to complex engineering problems, applying engineering and economic principles to studies and surveys of technical systems or designs
