Tata Communications Hiring Jr CAD Engineer AutoCAD (Chennai) | Freshers Eligible

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented fresher CAD Engineer with 0 to 1 year of experience in design and structural drawing using AutoCAD (2D/3D drawing and annotations) for wireless telecom sites. You will create, modify and maintain technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software.

Mandatory: AutoCAD certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply AutoCAD skills including 2D drafting, annotations, 3D modeling, layers, blocks and dynamic blocks, Xrefs, dimensioning and plotting.
• Adapt to different operator standards and prepare preliminary, detailed design and as-built drawing plans for telecom structures and buildings.
• Follow SOPs to develop and maintain structural drawings, building drawings and detailed 2D/3D models in DWG format.
• Review client inputs, including structure information, antenna details, shelter information, mount and strengthening drawings, fabrication drawings, lease area details and technologies.
• Prepare site access plans, site layouts, antenna layouts, site elevations, equipment room and cabinet layouts, ancillary configurations and electrical details per client standards.
• Produce structural drawings for towers, monopoles, shelters, ODUs, strengthening, foundations and antenna, dish and RRU mounts based on design documents, survey information and photos.
• Prepare dynamic CAD blocks as per specifications.
• Work with engineers and project teams to resolve design issues.
• Prepare BOM and technical documentation for production.
• Deliver documentation in DWG and PDF formats and maintain version control of all CAD files.
• Understand 2G/3G/4G and 5G concepts and interpret RAN equipment from reports and photos.
• Prepare cable and electrical schematics from antenna to BBU.
