About the Role

As a Data Analyst within the Digital & Management Information team, you will help deliver end-to-end solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal auditing. In this agile environment, you will connect business needs with technology solutions by translating requirements from Group Internal Audit (GIA) into scalable reporting and automation capabilities.

Your work will support innovation across the organisation through analytics, reporting, and modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements from Group Internal Audit into technology-driven solutions using existing applications, reporting tools, and automation technologies
  • Design and build data analytics solutions that improve the speed, quality, and efficiency of audit activities
  • Collaborate with IT teams and end users to manage ongoing application support and ensure reliable system performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and operational capabilities across GIA
  • Support compliance with Swiss Re technology policies and governance standards
  • Work within agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum to provide iterative solutions aligned with changing business needs
  • Explore and integrate Generative AI solutions to modernise analytics capabilities
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across audit, IT, and business teams while communicating technical concepts clearly

About the Team

Group Internal Audit (GIA) provides independent assurance to the Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee, helping protect Swiss Re’s assets, reputation, and long-term sustainability. The team evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and supports improvements across operations.

The Digital & Management Information team focuses on using technology and data to make auditing smarter, faster, and more impactful through collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python
  • Experience analysing and processing large volumes of data
  • Hands-on experience with reporting and visualisation tools including Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and supporting applications after deployment
  • Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum
  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and the ability to identify broader trends and opportunities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Generative AI solutions and AI-driven analytics
  • Background in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or assurance functions
  • Experience collaborating across diverse teams and functions

Swiss Re follows a hybrid work model, with employees expected to work from the office at least three days per week.
